Did you receive your Proxidize Kit? This is the place where you can start setting everything up. This process is much simpler than it seems and should take less than 20 minutes.

1. Take everything out of the box and packaging

Proxidize Kits come with a lot of packaging material to protect the hardware during international shipping.

The first thing you need to do once you have the package is to take everything out of its packaging.

2. Connect the Ethernet cable to your router and to the Proxidize SX2 Server.

Every Proxidize kit comes with an Ethernet cable. You need to use this cable to connect the Proxidize Server to the internet by connecting one side of the cable to the Proxidize Server and the other side to your router.

3. Connect the USB hub to the Proxidize SX2 Server via the USB cable

Every Proxidize kit comes with an HX1 USB hub and a USB cable. We need the hub to connect the MX2 USB modems to the SX2 Server. The Proxidize Server has 3 USB ports. It does not matter which port you use.

Please ensure the power switch on the rear of the hub is set to off.

4. Insert your SIM cards into the MX2 USB modems.

Please pay close attention here: You'll need to use Nano-size SIM cards for the Proxidize modems. If your sim card is not Nano-size, please remove the extra adapter layer to convert it to Nano-SIM.

This step is optional for the installation. If you don’t have the SIM cards now, you can add them later, but please keep in mind the proxies won’t work unless your SIM cards are connected properly and have data.

5. Connect your MX2 modems to the USB hub.

This is very simple. All you have to do is insert the USB modems into the USB hub ports.

6. Connect the power adapters to power sockets

Once you reach this step, you need to connect the adapters to power.

Please note every kit has 2 or more plugs. There will always be one plug for the Proxidize SX2 Server and one plug for every hub you have. These plugs are different so please do not connect them before reading the next step.

Note: If you do not have a correct adapter at the moment, please do not try to use any charger you have as that can damage the hardware and void your warranty. We recommend not connecting the hardware to power until you have the correct socket adapters.

7. Connect the hardware to power

Now we need to connect the 5-Volt-rated power adapter to the Proxidize Server and the 12-Volt-rated power adapter to the USB hub.

Both the SX2 Server and the HX1 USB hub have a 5.5 mm input port, so please pay close attention to the power adapters as it would be easy to mix them up.

8. Open a browser in any device connected to the same router and open the dashboard.

Proxidize is a locally-hosted web application. Meaning you can only access and interact with the dashboard using a browser. Proxidize is hosted on the SX2 Server you’re using, so to access it, you first need to find the local IP of the Server from the router to open the Proxidize dashboard.

You can use that IP as a web address in any device connected to the same router. For example, http://192.168.1.4 (this IP will differ based on the local IP you get from your router)

9. Port forward public ports to your Proxidize Server

Now you need to port forward the port range 2000-3000 from your router to your Proxidize Server local IP, which you can find in the settings tab.

Every router is slightly different, so we recommend doing a web search for port forwarding instructions for your specific router.

If you plan to get a new router for Proxidize, we recommend getting the TP-Link AC1200.

This step is optional and is only needed if you want to use your proxies remotely.
