Before you decide on our mobile proxy hardware and software integration as your go-to solution, there are some factors to consider prior to making any commitments. We want to make sure you're aware of the key points that are involved in ensuring your entire setup runs smoothly.

In the following sections, we'll walk you through these important considerations since our goal is to help you understand the essentials upon purchasing your first setup. So you can confidently decide if Proxidize is the right fit for you. Whether you're just exploring the idea or in the process of setting up your kit, knowing these factors will be crucial for getting the best performance from your Proxidize mobile proxy infrastructure.

  1. Signal Strength

Before diving into our hardware and software solutions, it's essential to assess the signal strength in your target area, as it directly impacts the performance of your equipment. Our equipment relies on the SIM cards placed in modems or mobile phones to work effectively.
However, different carriers have varying coverage in different areas. To ensure you get the best signal reception, contact the carrier you plan to use in the area where your Proxidize kit will be deployed. Remember that the modems may have weaker antennas than generic mobile phones, meaning they might not fetch signals as effectively.
Even if your phone shows a strong signal (e.g. 3 bars or more), it doesn't necessarily guarantee the same for a modem. To enhance the reception in your area, you can also consider purchasing a signal booster to amplify the signal for better service and connectivity.

  2. Bandwidth Allocation

Bandwidth is another critical factor to consider when using Proxidize. Since each router has a specific bandwidth allocation tied to an internet plan, it's crucial to ensure enough bandwidth is available to support the optimal performance and speed of your modems.

Bandwidth is typically allocated on a "first come, first serve" basis, meaning it may not be equally distributed among all connected devices. For a better Proxidize experience, aim for at least 5 Mbps of bandwidth for each modem to function smoothly.

  3. ISP Configuration: (Internet Service Provider)

If you intend to access Proxidize's mobile proxies and the dashboard externally, make sure to set up your network configuration correctly. This involves configuring port forwarding to allow access from outside your local network, which can be set up through your router's web interface.
Keep in mind that some ISPs may require you to forward ports on their end. Before setting up your Proxidize kit, contact your ISP to confirm their requirements for port forwarding. It's worth noting that some ISPs might not allow port forwarding, so clarifying this with them is essential to ensure seamless access to Proxidize services.

  4. Hotspot and Data Plans

If you plan to host your Proxidize kit in the United States, SIM cards should be associated with a hotspot plan to provide internet connectivity. In other countries, a data plan is typically required. Make sure to check and activate the appropriate plan based on your location to ensure uninterrupted service.

  5. Carrier Compatibility

For U.S. customers using Proxidize's MX2 modems, knowing which carriers are compatible is essential. For instance, Verizon is not compatible with our MX2 modems. Therefore, To guarantee compatibility with the Proxidize hardware, it's recommended to choose carriers like T-Mobile, Mint, or AT&T when setting up your kit in the United States.
It’s also important for customers in other countries to understand that certain regions, including Australia, Austria, Tunisia, and Greece, may have specific restrictions with carriers and our hardware.
To navigate these potential challenges, we recommend contacting and informing us of your intended hosting location, where we can then give you tailored suggestions on carriers that are best for your area to ensure a seamless Proxidize experience.
We recommend having 1 or 2 SIM cards to test on the Proxidize kit to guarantee their compatibility and signal strength in the area before proceeding further with purchasing the rest of the SIM cards, while also that they're not pin-locked and that the APN settings are set properly.

  6. Location of the kit

Optimizing the performance and durability of your proxy kit requires strategic placement, emphasizing the avoidance of direct sunlight and dusty environments. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can lead to overheating and reduced hardware lifespan, while dust accumulation poses risks of compromised functionality. Placing the kit in controlled environments, shielded from these elements, is recommended for maintaining efficiency and ensuring a longer operational life.

  7. Power Consumption

When dealing with power consumption and potential insufficient power scenarios when setting up your kits, there are a few potential concerns to consider. In cases of excessive power consumption, there's a risk of overloading the power supply, leading to system instability, frequent crashes, or even permanent damage to the hardware components.
On the other hand, underpowering the kits can result in insufficient energy to support their functionalities, causing reduced performance, potential data corruption, or system failures. It is crucial to ensure that the power supply meets the requirements of the added kits to maintain stability and prevent adverse effects on the overall system. Regularly monitoring power usage and providing adequate power resources are key considerations to avoid these complications and ensure the reliable operation of your kits.
