# Recommended Mobile Carriers

## Learn if the mobile carrier you're purchasing the SIM from can work with the Proxidize Cloud Platform.

The best mobile carrier and/or SIM card provider is the one that works best in your area, therefore we recommend obtaining SIM cards from the carrier with the best signal reception for you.

If you're unsure which carrier is best for you, temporarily test multiple SIM cards from different carriers to find the one with the strongest signal. This approach ensures optimal performance when using your mobile proxies.

For users in the United States using USB modems, please note that a hotspot plan is required for proper functionality.

### Carriers We Do Not Recommend:

* **Verizon (United States):** Verizon SIM cards are incompatible with USB Modems. However, they should have no issues with Android phones.
* **Vodafone (UK) and Telstra (Australia):** Users have reported issues with mobile proxies not changing IPs when using these carriers.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.proxidize.com/legacy-products/proxy-builder/setup-and-onboarding/recommended-mobile-carriers.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
