A USB modem is expected to create a hotspot connection whenever it is plugged into any power source, even a laptop. This is expected since it is a network device and Wi-Fi is enabled on the modem.

You will need to turn off the Wi-Fi on the modem and connect it to Proxidize. It will not show as a hotspot.
