# Residential Per GB

What the Residential Per GB plan is: premium residential IPs in 195+ countries bought by the GB, data that rolls over, and where to set up access points and targeting.

**Residential Per GB** is a monthly data package that gives you access to Proxidize's entire pool of residential IPs, in more than 195 countries.

The IPs are ethically sourced premium residential IPs, and Residential Per GB is the product to use for anything outside the United States.

### Packages and data

Each package is its own monthly subscription with its own billing date.

To add data, subscribe to another package.

To reduce it, cancel a package you no longer need.

{% hint style="success" %}
Data you have already bought stays in your balance and rolls over.
{% endhint %}

If a package is refunded, its data is removed.

### Watching your balance

The header of every tab shows how much data you have left and how much you have used.

**Set alert** beside it opens **Usage alert**, where you can turn on an email warning and pick the threshold it fires at, so you can top up before a job runs short.

## Quick FAQ

<details>

<summary>What happens to data I do not use?</summary>

On Residential Per GB unused data rolls over, so it stays available rather than expiring at the end of the month.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How many proxies do I get?</summary>

There is no fixed number. Per GB gives you access to the whole pool, and you draw as many proxies from it as your data allows.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Should I use Residential or Mobile?</summary>

Residential for anything outside the United States, and for work that benefits from home ISP addresses. Mobile for U.S. traffic that needs to look like a phone on a mobile network. See [Choose Between Mobile and Residential Proxies](/getting-started/choose-between-mobile-and-residential-proxies.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.proxidize.com/per-gb-proxies/residential-pergb.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
